Biography
2019-20 (Junior):
Downing registered a scoring average of 79.05 during his junior campaign for the Buffaloes during the pandemic shortened 2019-20 season. The Happy product fired a season-best 72 (E) during the second round of the Golf Glove Hub St. Edward's Fall Classic at the Avery Ranch Golf Club in Austin.
2018-19 (Sophomore):
Downing saw time in 14 rounds over five tournaments for the Buffaloes during his junior season in 2018-19 with a scoring average of 79.21.Â
2017-18 (Freshman):
Downing made an appearance in seven rounds over three tournaments for the Buffs during his true freshman campaign in 2017-18 with a scoring average of 77.43.Â
At Happy High School:Â
The local standout came to Canyon following a successful prep career at nearby Happy High School. Downing was a a four-time State Runner-Up for the Cowboys under head coach Barry Stevens at HHS claimed a pair of Texas 1A State Championships. Downing won four Individual Regional Championships for the Cowboys.

Born December 21, 1998. Son of Scott and Robin Downing and he has one sister, Brooke. Majoring in Broadcast Journalism at West Texas A&M.
