Biography
2019-20 (Freshman):
Barrera redshirted for the Buffaloes during the 2019-20 campaign.
At Veterans Memorial High School:
Barrera came to Canyon in the fall of 2019 following a standout prep career at Veterans Memorial High School in Corpus Christi where he was a District Champion and Regional Qualifier as a senior for the Eagles under head coach Glenn Holmans. Barrera was a State Qualifier during his junior campaign while earning First Team All-State accolades with another District Championship.
Personal:
Born April 5, 2001. Son of Steve and Monica Barrera and he has one brother, Steven. Majoring in Mechanical Engineering at West Texas A&M.
