2016 Cross Country: Redshirt.

High School: Graduated from Royse City High School in 2016 where he lettered four years on the cross country and track & field teams. He also lettered in basketball and football (two years). He was a three-time regional qualifier in the 4x400-meter relay. Tijerina was twice named Athlete of the Year.

Personal: Born on January 24, 1998. Son of Daniel and Erika Tijerina. Has one sibling. Plans on majoring in business at West Texas A&M.
