Junior (2014-15)

    Cross Country: Gifford grabbed a fifth place finish in the Wagon Wheel Dual (8K) with a time of 26:35.5. He then picked up LSC All-Conference honors with an 11th place finish in the LSC Championship (8K), running a 26:14.3, helping the Buffs to a second-straight team title. He went on to finish 50th at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship and ran with the squad at the NCAA National Championship, finishing 98th individually, helping WT to an 11th place team finish, its highest in program history.

Sophomore (2013-14)

    Cross Country: Placed 26th overall in his WT cross country debut at the Texas Tech Red Raider Open in the 8K with a time of 27:39.12.  Ran a 27:06.9 at the 25th annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival (8K). Placed sixth overall at the Wagonwheel Dual (8K) with a time of 27:15.93. Earned All-Conference honors with his 12th place showing at the Lone Star Conference Championships (8K), running a 26:18.4. Ran a 33:30 at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships (10K).

    Track & Field: Gifford scored for the Buffs during their first-ever LSC title at the LSC Indoor Championship with a fifth place showing in the 3000m. His PRs this season included 4:18.53 (1500m), 4:22.24 (mile), 8:51.10 (3000m) and 15:56.40 (5000m). Gifford won the 5000m race at home in the West Texas A&M Classic on April 26th.

Baylor: Gifford attended Baylor his first three semesters. Ran indoor track and track as a member of the Bears' squad. Posted a time of 4:20 in the mile, 8:46 in the 3K and 15:19 in the 5K. Named a Scholar Athlete.

High School: Graduated from Frisco High School in 2011. UIL Division 4A State Qualifier in cross country and the 1600m in track. Recipient of the Outstanding Athletic Achievement Award as a senior. Holds the school record in the 5K, 3200m and 1600m events. Team captian of the cross country team and a four-year letterwinner. Recipient of the Most Valuable Runner Award from Legacy Christian Academy in 2008 and '09. State Qualifier in cross country TAPPS 2A, track and field TAPPS 2A in 2008, and cross country TAPPS 3A in 2009.  Also a member of the basketball team. Graduated Cum Laude with honors. Member of the National Honor Society and Principal's Honor Roll.

Personal: Born Oct. 29, 1992. Gifford is the son of Janie Gifford. Has one sister Kelsey (17). Majoring in mechanical engineering at West Texas A&M.
