GENERAL: A second-team all-LSC selection a year ago, Chandler has developed into a consistent placekicker, showing both range (having booted a long field goal of 53 yards) and accuracy (he set a WT record with 48 consecutive PATs).
2008: Chandler etched his name in the WT record books by connecting on 48-consecutive PATs and, for the year, was 77-of-79 in that category, also setting WT records for most PATs in a season and career. He opened the season by booting a game-deciding, 24-yard field goal with 3:59 remaining at Mesa State, giving the Buffs a 23-20 victory. He then missed on his next three field goal attempts, but recovered to conclude the year by making seven of his last nine attempts, including a season-long 53-yard effort against Azusa Pacific. Handling the kickoff chores, as well, he averaged 59.1 yards per kick, with 15 touchbacks in 99 total kickoffs.
2007: Redshirt season.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: While at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, Calif., Chandler connected on 11-of-14 field goal opportunities, was 43-of-44 on PAT attempts and caused on fumble to earn all-State honors. He also participated in the 2005 East County Bowl, where the Vikings defeated Orange Coast College, 37-34, as well as the 2006 edition.
HIGH SCHOOL: Chandler's family moved from England to the San Francisco, Calif., area where Chandler attended Los Lomas High School. While there, he participated in both soccer as well as football (seeing time as both a running back as well as a placekicker).
MAJOR: Chandler is majoring in Sports & Exercise Science at WTAMU. Active in his church, he traveled to Taiwan during the summer of 2009 to perform missionary work through Baptist Student Ministries. He also serves as a counselor at Angel Tree Camp, a youth camp which administers to inner-city youths from Amarillo, Texas.
