Biography

2009: Mann became one of the most feared hitters in the Lone Star Conference as a junior in 2009, as he became the everyday first baseman for the Buffs along with a staple in the middle of the batting order. He led the team in batting average (.419), slugging percentage (.743), hits (75), RBI[apos]s (61), doubles (18), total bases (133), walks (29), and home runs (12). Mann saw one of his best days at the plate come on Feb. 20 as he gave the Buffs the 13-12 victory over East Central by going 3-for-4 at the dish with 6 RBI and two homers, including a game winning grand slam in the ninth inning. For his efforts on the field, Mann was named to the Lone Star Conference First Team along with a spot on the ABCA/Rawlings All-South Central Region First Team.

Junior College: Mann attended Grayson JC (Texas) and played first base for the Vikings under head coach Tim Tadlock. He led the team to the Junior College World Series and hit .500 during the tournament, as well as being named All-Conference.

Previous University: Mann attended Auburn University (Alabama) in the fall of 2003.

High School: Mann graduated from Duncanville HS (Texas) and played first base for the Panthers under head coach Bob Rombach. He was named All-State as a senior and is the all-time leader in doubles at Duncanville. He was also the first person to homer in the Panther[apos]s new ballpark.

Major: Mann is a General Studies major at West Texas A&M.

Personal: Mann is the son of Bob and Sandra T. Mann and has one sibling, Hunter.
