Biography

2009: Granado became a major part of the WT pitching rotation as a junior in 2009, tallying a team high 64.2 innings while making 17 appearances. He was tied for the team lead in strikeouts (35) and was second in starts (8), appearances (17), and successful pickoff (3). Granado[apos]s best outing on the hill came against Eastern New Mexico on April 24 as he pitched a complete game, giving up five runs on eight hits while striking out two Greyhounds in a 5-4 defeat.

Junior College: Granado graduated from Clarendon CC (Texas) in 2008 with his associate[apos]s degree in The Arts. He led the Bulldogs to the NJCAA Regional Tournament in 2007 and 2008 under current WT head coach Matt Vanderburg.

High School: Granado graduated from South San Antonio HS (Texas) and played outfield, first base and pitched for the Bobcats. He was named all-area in 2005 as well as all-district as a junior and senior.

Major: Granado is a Sports & Exercise Science major at WTAMU.

Personal: Granado is the son of Richard and Pat Granado and has one sibling, Eric.
