2009: Baker became the everyday third baseman for the Buffs as a junior in 2009, starting all 53 games for WT with an injured shoulder for most of the season. Baker hit for a .350 average with 72 hits, 13 doubles, four triples and two homers in 206 at-bats as a junior while stealing two bases. His best offensive game came against Texas A&M Kingsville on March 20 as he went 2 for 4 at the plate with 3 RBI with two long balls over the Dilla Villa left field fence. Baker led the Buffs in at-bats (206), runs scored (50), and hit-by-pitch (9).

Junior College: Baker graduated from Weatherford JC (Texas) in 2008, playing middle infield for the Coyotes under head coach Jeff Lightfoot.

High School: Baker graduated from Flower Mound Marcus HS (Texas) in 2006. He was named all-district in baseball during his junior and senior seasons, as well as honorable mention all-state in football as a senior.

Major: Baker is a Marketing major at West Texas A&M.

Personal: Baker is the son of Richard and Sheila Baker and has one sibling, Tate.
