Biography

2009: Heider became a go-to guy out of the bullpen for the Buffs in 2009, making 10 appearances and starting in two contests as a junior. Heider registered a 5.25 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 24 innings of work for a 2-0 record. His best game on the hill came on the road against Cameron on Apr. 3 as he gave up no runs on no hits in 4.0 innings of relief while striking out four Aggies to pick up the win.

Junior College: Heider graduated from Frank Phillips JC (Texas) in 2008 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He pitched for the Plainsmen under head coach Guy Simmons, and was awarded the Best Pitcher award as a freshman.

High School: Heider graduated from Raton HS (New Mexico) in 2006, and played for head coach Mike Marez. He led the Tigers to three district championships as well as a State Runner-Up finish in 2006.

Major: Heider is a Criminal Justice major at West Texas A&M.

Personal: Heider is the son of Bret and Laura Heider and has one sibling, Alissa.
