West Texas A&M University Athletics

Junior College: Carter attended Grayson JC (Texas) and pitched for the Vikings under head coach Tim Tadlock. The team went 45-13 in 2005, winning the Conference Championship and qualified for the NJCAA Regional Tournament. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 10th round of the 2005 MLB draft.

Previous School: Carter attended Auburn University (Alabama) in 2003-2004.

High School: Carter graduated from Denton Liberty Christian HS (Texas) in 2003, pitching and playing first base for the Warriors. He helped the team to the 2003 TAPPS 4A State Championship and was named the District MVP. He was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 33rd round in 2003.

Major: Carter is a Sports & Exercise Science major at West Texas A&M.

Personal: Carter is the son of Joe and Sandra Carter and has one sibling, Tyson.
