Previous School: Lewis attended Tarleton State (Texas) in 2008-2009, pitching for the Texans out of the bullpen for head coach Bryan Conger. He registered a 3.89 ERA with a 5-2 record as a closer in 2009.

Junior College: Lewis graduated from North Central JC (Texas) in 2008 with an associate[apos]s degree in The Arts. He pitched for the Lions under head coach Scott Harp and helped the team to a Regional Finals appearance.

High School: Lewis graduated from Brewer HS (Texas) in 2006, playing first base and pitching for the Bears under head coach Terry Massey. He was named the District 6-4A Pitcher of The Year as a junior, as well as being All-Region and All-State as a junior and a senior. Lewis was also a two year letterman on the football field, garnering All-District honors as a defensive end as a senior.

Major: Lewis is a Physical Education major at WTAMU with a minor in Education.

Personal: Lewis is the son of Jimmy and Terri Lewis and has one sibling, Regina.
