Biography

Previous School: DeLaGarza attended Sam Houston State (Texas) in 2009, playing in the outfield for the Bearkats under head coach Mark Johnson. The Bearkats won the Southland Conference Championship in 2009 and made an appearance in the NCAA Rice Regional. DeLaGarza was named to the All-Conference Tournament team and hit for a .315 average with two home runs.

Junior College: DeLaGarza graduated from New Mexico JC (New Mexico) in 2008 with an associate[apos]s degree in The Arts. He played in the outfield for head coaches Ray Birmingham and current WT assistant Cory Hall. DeLaGarza helped the Thunderbirds to a NJCAA National Runner-Up finish as a freshman.

High School: DeLaGarza graduated from Red Oak HS (Texas) in 2006, playing shortstop for the Hawks under head coach Pete Hampel. He was a three time first team All-District selection, as well as a three year letterman on the football field. DeLaGarza hit for a .410 average with 36 stolen bases as a senior, as the team made the Texas State Playoffs three times. He was also a member of the National Honor Society

Major: DeLaGarza is a Sports & Exercise Science major at WTAMU with a minor in Mass Communications.

Personal: DeLaGarza is the son on John DeLaGarza and has one sibling, Andrew.
