CANYON, Texas – The #25 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M snapped a two-match losing skid on Friday afternoon as they started the Colorado Premier Challenge with a four-set win over the Anderson Trojans (21-25, 25-17, 25-18, 26-24) at the Berce Athletic Center in Denver.

The Lady Buffs finished the match with 51 kills on 148 swings with 16 errors for a hitting percentage of .236 to go along with 44 assists, four aces, 66 digs and 13 total blocks. Anderson struggled offensively as they had 33 attack errors on 169 attempts with 58 kills to hit .148 as a team with 53 assists, six aces, 64 digs and just two blocks.

Kaycee Cavanaugh led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs as the junior had 14 kills on 39 swings with just two errors for an attack percentage of .308 to go along with three assists and 19 digs for a double-double.
Casey Loewer continued to impress as the sophomore registered 11 kills, 19 assists and three digs.Â

The Lady Buffs return to the court tonight as they battle the unbeaten #5 Bulldogs of Ferris State with first serve set for 7:00 p.m. CT on the campus of Regis University. FSU started the tournament with a sweep of Anderson earlier in the day.
