CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs came out swinging on Thursday night but 25 crucial attack errors allowed the #9 Angelo State Rambelles to extend their home win streak to 34 matches (25-18, 18-25, 10-25, 22-25) inside of the Junell Center during Lone Star Conference Challenge action.
The Lady Buffs hit .083 as a team with 38 kills on 157 swings to go along with 37 assists, two aces, 11 blocks. Angelo State had 57 kills on 180 attempts with 19 errors to hit .211 with 53 assists, four aces, 83 digs and 12 total blocks.
Kaycee Cavanaugh continued her strong start to the season with 11 kills and 15 digs for another double-double.
Skyler Massey added nine kills followed by
Ellie Koprek with seven.
Avery Ramos led the way for WT in the back row with 27 digs while
Casey Loewer dished out a team-best 14 assists.
The Lady Buffs close out the LSC Challenge on Friday night as they take on the Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps with first serve set for 6:00 p.m. in San Angelo.
