Canyon, Texas. – West Texas A&M Cross Country has finalized its schedule for the 2026 season. The Buffs and Lady Buffs share an identical schedule that features three regular season meets prior to the Lone Star Conference (LSC) Championships on November 7. WT will open their season on September 18 in Lubbock, Texas at the Texas Tech Open.
Following their season opener, West Texas A&M will travel to Louisville, Kentucky on October 3 to compete at the annual Louisville Classic for the fifth consecutive season. WT will then run at the Arturo Barrios Invite in College Station, Texas on October 16 to conclude their regular season.
The LSC Championships take place in Lubbock, Texas on November 7 where both programs look to extend their respective LSC Championship streaks. The Buffs have won 13 consecutive LSC Titles dating back to 2013, while the Lady Buffs three-peated as LSC Champs last fall and eye their fourth straight title.
The South Central Regional Championships are set for November 21 and will also take place in Lubbock. The Buffs are coming off a fifth-place finish a season ago and have finished in the top five for four straight seasons. The Lady Buffs are also coming off a fifth-place finish and have landed in the top six for four straight seasons.
Lawrence, Kansas will be home to the 2026 NCAA Championships, which take place on December 5. The Buffs took 14th a year ago and have four straight years with a top 15 finish. The Lady Buffs placed ninth last year in Kenosha, Wisconsin and have three consecutive seasons finishing in the top nine.
