CANYON, TEXAS – The West Texas A&M Buffaloes shot a 281 (-7) during the second round of the NCAA South Central/West Regional Championships on Friday to sit tied atop of the leaderboard at The Reserve at Spanos Park (Par 72 – 7,082 Yards) in Stockton, California.
Santiago Caride was impressive for the Buffs on Friday, shooting a -4 (68) with four birdies and no bogeys to sit tied for 12
th overall.
Jack Lankford (70, -2) and
Victor Estas (71, -1) also shot in the red for WT during the second round as they are tied for seventh entering Saturday.
The Buffs still hold the top par-three scoring (3.08) of the field as they have registered three eagles and 31 birdies thru 36 holes.
WT is tied atop of the team leaderboard with Western Washington (-11, 565) to hold a one-stroke advantage over Cal State San Bernardino (566, -10). Conrad Brown of Western Washington leads individually with a score of -8 (136) for a one-stroke advantage over three players at -7.
The Buffs will be paired with Western Washington and Cal State Bernardino during the final round with tee times starting at 2:30 p.m. CT
