CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M head men's basketball coach
Tom Brown has announced the addition of Sean Jimmy-Ducksworth for the 2026-27 campaign.
Â
The 6'6" guard comes to the Texas Panhandle following a standout prep career at Fort Bend Christian Academy in Sugar Land, Texas. Jimmy-Ducksworth averaged 19.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game during his senior season for the Eagles under head coach Ondra Waddy. Sean earned TABC and TAPPS First Team All-State accolades while also becoming a three-time All-District selection.Â
Â
"We are excited to welcome Sean Jimmy-Ducksworth to the program" said Brown "He is a great young man with a bright future at West Texas A&M."
Â
Jimmy-Ducksworth reached the 1,000-career point plateau for the Eagles as a junior, being named TAPPS First Team All-State. The talented guard picked up All-Tournament honors at both the Cypress Christian Tournament as well as the St. John's School Classic. Sean excels in the classroom as a TAPPS Academic All-State selection this year.
Â
"It's been a pleasure coaching Sean Jimmy-Ducksworth at Fort Bend Christian Academy! I believe this young man (and a well-accomplished athlete) has only scratched the surface" said FBCA head coach Ondra Waddy "Sean possesses many "winning tools" that he brings to the table (hard work, toughness, leadership, and grit). I look forward to seeing his progression at the collegiate level under the direction of Coach
Tom Brown and to see the contributions SJD will make to the men's basketball program at WT."
