CANYON, Texas – The top-ranked Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M secured a pair of Lone Star Conference run-rule wins against the Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps on Friday afternoon as they extended their win streak to 14 games.

The Lady Buffs close out their LSC road trip on Sunday afternoon as they make their way to Wichita Falls, Texas for a doubleheader against the Midwestern State Mustangs beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Mustang Park.

Game 1 – West Texas A&M 15, Lubbock Christian 5 (5 Innings)
The opening inning was explosive for the Lady Buffs as they scored nine runs.
Bella Holland singled to begin the inning, and
Jordyn De Los Santos reached on a fielder's choice.
Abby Howell walked, setting up
Trinity Kuntz's RBI single.
Emily Liskai delivered a two-RBI double, and
Heaven Moreno reached on an error, allowing
Brooke Janning to score.
Mya Chacon's groundout and Holland's RBI double added further runs, before De Los Santos capped the inning with a two-run homer at 9-0.

In the third inning, De Los Santos doubled to bring
Mya Chacon home, extending the Lady Buffs' lead. However, Lubbock Christian responded with a grand slam by Ashlinn Hamilton to make it 10-4. The Lady Buffs continued their momentum in the fourth inning with
Cadence Colborn's solo home run. Moreno doubled, and Chacon singled her in. De Los Santos added another RBI, bringing the score to 13-4.

In the fifth inning, Howell and Colborn each hit solo home runs to further extend the lead. Lubbock Christian managed one run via Kadin Vire's homer, but it was not enough to close the gap. The final score was 15-5 in favor of the Lady Buffs.

Janning claimed the win (12-1) for the Lady Buffs, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits with no walks and five strikeouts in her 3.2 innings of work.'

Game 2 – West Texas A&M 12, Lubbock Christian 4 (6 Innings)
The action began in the fourth inning when
Cadence Colborn hit a two-run home run to deep center field, bringing in
Lily Mulder.
Emily Liskai followed with another two-run homer, which brought home
Brooke Janning for the 4-0 lead.

LCU got on the board in the home half of the fourth inning with three runs to cut the lead to 4-3. In the fifth inning, Liskai continued her performance with a two-run home run to center field, extending the lead to 6-3.

The sixth inning saw another surge from the Lady Buffs.
Mya Chacon scored on a double steal, and
Jordyn De Los Santos drove in
Bella Holland with a double to right-center. The inning was capped by Janning's grand slam, pushing the lead to 12-3. Lubbock Christian added one more run in the bottom of the sixth, but West Texas A&M secured a 12-4 run-rule win.

Laci Peskey claimed the win (12-2) in the circle, allowing three unearned runs on six hits with one walk and three strikeouts in her 3.2 innings of work while Janning worked the final 2.1 frames, securing a save as the freshman allowed one earned run on four hits with a walk and two strikeouts.
