CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M Buffaloes ran their win streak to 10 games on Sunday afternoon as they completed the Lone Star Conference series sweep over the UT Permian Basin Falcons with a 8-4 victory at Roden Field in Odessa, Texas.

Jacob Police put West Texas A&M on the scoreboard in the first inning with a solo home run down the left field line for the 1-0 advantage. In the second inning,
Will Franklin singled and advanced to third on a bunt by
Brock Bunker. Franklin scored on a passed ball, extending the lead. UTPB responded with a run of its own, making it 2-1 at the end of the second.

The Falcons took the lead in the fourth inning scoring two runs scored on a pair of errors, bringing the score to 3-2 in favor of UTPB. West Texas A&M's offense erupted in the sixth inning, scoring five runs.
Anthony Picciano drove in two runs with a single to center field. Errors by the Falcons allowed additional runs to score, pushing the lead to 7-3.

UTPB added a run in the seventh inning before the Buffs added an insurance run in the ninth on a
Ronan Hella sac bunt to score Franklin for the 8-4 win.

Riley Kettner picked up the win for the Buffs, allowing no runs on just one hit with a walk and a strikeout in his 1.2 frames of relief.
Kanon Welbourne registered his first save in Maroon & White, allowing one earned run on one hit with a walk and three strikeouts over the final three innings.

The Buffs return to Wilder Park next weekend as they host the #4 Patriots of UT Tyler in a four-game league series starting on Friday afternoon.
