CANYON, Texas – The #5 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M connected on three long balls in each of Sunday's Lone Star Conference contests to claim a pair of wins over the Cameron Aggies in Lone Star Conference action at Schaeffer Park in Canyon.

The Lady Buffs hit the road for conference action next weekend as they take on the UT Dallas Comets in Richardson on Friday followed by a Sunday doubleheader at Western New Mexico.

GAME 1 – West Texas A&M 10, Cameron 4
The scoring began with
Bella Holland hitting a home run to center field, giving the Lady Buffs an early lead in the first inning.

In the second inning, the Lady Buffs extended their lead significantly.
Emily Liskai singled, and
Heaven Moreno followed with another single.
Trinity Kuntz then hit a three-run homer to left field. Additional runs came when Jordyn De Los Sant scored on a fielding error, and
Abby Howell doubled to bring in another run. The inning concluded with West Texas A&M leading 6-0.

The sixth inning saw the Lady Buffs further solidify their lead. After two runners reached base, Holland doubled, driving in two runs. Howell followed with a two-run home run to center field. This offensive surge put the Lady Buffs ahead 10-3 at the end of the sixth inning.

Cameron managed to add one more run in the seventh inning, but it was not enough to overcome the Lady Buffs' commanding lead at 10-4.

Reagan Sucher claimed the win (2-0) for the Lady Buffs, allowing three earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts in her 3.1 innings of relief.

GAME 2 – West Texas A&M 8, Cameron 4
In the first inning,
Bella Holland walked and later scored on a throwing error, while
Jordyn De Los Santos singled and scored on
Abby Howell's bunt single.
Trinity Kuntz hit a two-run homer, bringing the score to 4-0 by the end of the inning.

The fourth inning saw the Lady Buffs adding to their lead when Holland singled to left field, driving in
Avery Cannon to make it 5-0. In the fifth inning, Howell homered to center field, and
Cadence Colborn scored on a single from
Heaven Moreno, increasing the lead to 7-0. Cameron responded in the sixth inning with four runs, but De Los Santos homered in the bottom half to further extend the Buffs' lead to 8-4.

Laci Peskey earned the victory (7-2) in the circle, allowing no runs on just four hits with two walks and five strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work.
