CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M battled all night long before falling to the second-seeded #11 Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps, 73-60 during the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Semifinals on Saturday night at Kitty Magee Arena in Denton, Texas.
 
Taylor Haggan led the way for the Lady Buffs as the sophomore set a career-high with 26 points as the Parker, Texas product went 13-of-18 from the floor to go along with 16 rebounds to tie a career-high for her fourth double-double of the season. 
Chloe Callahan contributed 12 points and five boards while 
Claire Graham also finished in double-figures with 11 points.
 
The Lady Buffs finished the night going 22-of-57 (38.6%) from the field including 3-of-18 (16.7%) from deep and 13-of-20 (65%) from the free throw line with 42 rebounds (14 offensive, 28 defensive), four assists, 16 turnovers, one block and two steals in the loss.
 
All-Region selection Maci Maddox paced the Lubbock Christian offense as she went 6-of-13 from the floor and 7-of-9 from the charity stripe for a team-best 22 points with three rebounds and two steals. LCU finished the game shooting 41.5% (22-of-53) from the floor including 31.3% (5-of-16) from behind the arc and 82.9% (24-of-29) from the line with 30 rebounds, nine assists, nine turnovers, two blocks and eight steals.
