CANYON, Texas – Five members of the West Texas A&M Lady Buffs were honored for their efforts on the court and in the classroom on Wednesday night as the Lone Star Conference announced their annual postseason awards at a banquet in San Angelo, Texas.

Taytum Stow was named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the third time in her stories career. She becomes just the second player in LSC history to win the award on three occasions joining Abilene Christian standout Shawna Hines (2008, 2009, 2010).Â

Stow was also named to the All-LSC First Team as she was joined by teammates
Currie Marusak and
Emma Becker,
Kaycee Cavanaugh claimed Second Team accolades while sophomore
Bromli Watson was named to the Honorable Mention squad.

The Lady Buffs were also honored for their efforts in the classroom as Stow and Murasak were selected for the Academic All-Lone Star Conference Team.

The Lady Buffs open up the postseason tomorrow morning as they take on sixth-seeded Texas Woman's in the Lone Star Conference Quarterfinals with first serve set for 11:00 a.m. at the Junell Cener in San Angelo, Texas.
