CANYON, Texas – The #10 Lady Buffs ended the opening weekend of Lone Star Conference action with a sweep over the Falcons of UT Permian Basin (25-12, 25-15, 28-26) at the Falcon Dome in Odessa, Texas.

The Lady Buffs registered 47 kills on 108 swings with just nine attack errors to hit .352 on the afternoon with 46 assists, seven aces, 48 digs and eight blocks. The Falcons finished the afternoon with 38 kills on 114 attempts with 18 errors for an attack percentage of .175 to go along with 37 assists, one ace, 46 digs and four blocks.

Currie Marusak led the way for the Lady Buffs as the Amarillo product had 11 kills on 22 swings with just one attack error as she hit .455 on the afternoon to go along with two digs and a block.
Emma Becker had nine kills followed by
Taytum Stow with eight,
Ainsley Malis dished out a match-high 28 assists while
Bryli Contreras led the way in the back row with 16 digs.

Ashlee Macias finished the afternoon with a match-high 12 kills on 21 attempts with four errors for an attack percentage of .381 to go along with one ace and five blocks. Jenna Gray paced the UTPB offense as she dished out 15 assists to go along with eight digs while Gabby Gregorski had 15 digs in the back row.
