CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs had a three-game win streak snapped on Thursday night as 25 West Texas A&M turnovers led to 19 points by UT Permian Basin on the way to a 70-65 Lone Star Conference victory at the Falcon Dome in Odessa, Texas.

Nyalam Thabach led the way for the Lady Buffs as the senior from Boise, Idaho went 4-of-6 from the floor including 2-of-2 from behind the arc for a team-high 14 points to go along with eight rebounds, one steal and a block.
Karley Motschenbacher chipped in 13 points with eight boards while
Azia Himeur hit four times from behind the arc for 12 points.

The Lady Buffs finished the game going 21-of-48 (43.8%) from the floor including 10-of-23 (43.5%) from deep and 13-of-17 (76.5%) from the stripe with 44 rebounds (11 offensive, 33 defensive), nine assists, 25 turnovers, three steals and three blocks.

Makayla Bingley paced the UTPB offense as the Australia product went 5-of-8 from the floor including 3-of-5 from deep and 4-of-4 from the free throw line for a game-high 17 points to go along with three boards and a steal. The Falcons finished the night going 23-of-66 (34.8%) from the floor including 12-of-30 (40%) from deep and 12-of-24 (50%) from the stripe to go along with 31 rebounds, 15 assists, seven turnovers and 13 steals.

The Lady Buffs close out their LSC road trip on Saturday afternoon as they travel to San Angelo, Texas to take on the Belles of Angelo State in divisional action with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m. at Stephens Arena inside of the Junell Center.
