CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs closed out their Lone Star Conference road trip in style on Saturday afternoon as a big second half lifted WT to a 82-68 victory over the St. Edward's Hilltoppers at the Recreation & Athletics Center in Austin, Texas.

Grace Alvarez led the way for the Lady Buffs as the junior guard from Houston went 7-of-13 from the floor including 5-of-8 from behind the arc and 4-of-4 from the free throw line for a career-high 23 points to go along with three rebounds and four assists.
Nyalam Thabach chipped in 20 points of her own with nine boards and two blocks.

The Lady Buffs finished the game going 29-of-62 (46.8%) from the floor including 12-of-24 (50%) from deep and 12-of-13 (92.3%) from the free throw line to go along with 34 rebounds (four offensive, 30 defensive), 11 assists, 14 turnovers, four blocks and seven steals.

Janiah Perkins paced the St. Edward's offense as the freshman guard went 8-of-13 from the floor including 8-of-12 from the line for a game-high 25 points to go along with five boards, three assists and two steals. The Hilltoppers went 27-of-63 (42.9%) from the floor including 2-of-12 (16.7%) from deep and 12-of-17 (70.6%) from the line with 30 rebounds, 13 assists, 14 turnovers, one block and 10 steals.

The Lady Buffs close their regular season road schedule on Thursday night as they make their way down I-27 for a Rivalry on the Range matchup with the Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps, tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock.
