INDIANAPOLIS – West Texas A&M men's basketball was one of 10 teams in the South Central Region listed under consideration for the NCAA Tournament as announced by the national office on Wednesday.

For the first regional release, the teams under consideration are listed in alphabetical order. In subsequent weeks, the teams will be ranked. The first seeded rankings will be released on Feb. 28.
The top eight teams in the South Central Region will take part in the Regional Tournament taking place on March 16-19 at the top overall seed, the winners of the two conference tournaments (LSC, RMAC) will receive an automatic bid into the postseason with the last six spots being filled by at-large selections.

The official announcement of the 64-team NCAA Division II Championship field will be made following the Lone Star Conference Tournament held at the Comerica Center Frisco, Texas. The 2024 NCAA Division II Elite Eight, Final Four, and National Championship game will take place in Evansville, Indiana on March 26-30.
