CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M started the second half of their Lone Star Conference schedule in style on Thursday night as three Lady Buffs finished in double-figures on the way to a 69-65 divisional victory over the Cameron Aggies at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.

Nyalam Thabach led the way for the Lady Buffs as the senior from Boise, Idaho went 8-of-12 from the floor including 1-of-3 from behind the arc for a team-high 18 points to go along with eight rebounds.
Grace Alvarez finished with 11 points and five assists while
Jayla Burgess chipped in 10 points in the win.

The Lady Buffs finished the night going 28-of-64 (43.8%) from the floor including 5-of-21 (23.8%) from deep and 8-of-15 (53.3%) from the free throw line to go along with 45 rebounds (12 offensive, 33 defensive), 14 assists, 15 turnovers, six blocks and two steals.

Korie Allensworth led the way offensively for the Aggies as the junior from Sulphur, Oklahoma went 8-of-14 from the floor including 2-of-4 from behind the arc for a game-high 21 points to go along with eight rebounds and five steals. The Aggies went 24-of-69 (34.8%) from the field including 2-of-14 (14.3%) from deep and 15-of-16 (93.8%) from the line with 38 rebounds, seven assists, nine turnovers, one block and nine steals.

The Lady Buffs wrap-up their LSC homestand on Saturday afternoon as they welcome the Mustangs of Midwestern State to the First United Bank Center with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m.
