West Texas A&M Selected for Their 31st NCAA Tournament

CANYON. Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M begin the defense of their regional crown as they were tabbed the second seed in the 2024 NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championship being held inside of the Junell Center in San Angelo, Texas.
 
The Lady Buffs are making the program's 31st appearance in the NCAA Tournament, winning the South Central Regional Championship in each of the last three seasons. The 31 trips are the fifth most in Division II history behind Tampa (39), New Haven (37), Central Missouri (36) and Florida Southern (34). The Lady Buffs are 65-26 (.707) all-time in the NCAA Tournament with four National Championships (1990, 1991, 1997, 2022).
 
LSC Tournament Champion Angelo State jumped two spots to earn hosting duties for the eight-team tournament on December 6-8. West Texas A&M is the second seed followed by MSU Denver, DBU, Colorado Mesa, Texas Woman's, UT Tyler and Colorado Christian.
 
The winner of the South Central Regional Championship will punch their ticket to the NCAA Division II Championships on December 12-14 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
