CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M put together an impressive performance on Saturday afternoon as they finished second as a team at the 2024 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships at Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, California.

The second-place finish by the Lady Buffs is the best in program history with a total of 127 points.

Four Lady Buffs earned All-America honors by finishing inside of the Top-40.
Julie Lafare led the way as the junior from Uzes, France crossed the finish line in 17
th place with a time of 21:03.1 followed by
Naomi Addo (21
st, 21:07.4),
Kalkidan Vincendeau (26
th, 21:09.2) and
Eliette Chaput (30
th, 21:16.5).

Elise Leveel narrowly missed out on All-American accolades as the junior ran a time of 21:34.8 to finish 45
th followed by
Abigail Abugire (53
rd, 21:38.7) and
Sarah Koomson (DNF).

Lauren Kiley of Grand Valley State claimed the individual National Championship with a time of 20:28.5 on the 6K course.

Adams State won their 21
st National Crown with a team total of 61 points followed by WT (127 points), Colorado State-Pueblo (160 points), Grand Valley State (179 points), Colorado School of Mines (238 points), Lewis (255 points), UC-Colorado Springs (266 points), Wingate (279 points), Lee (284 points) and Augustana (377 points) to round out the top-10.

The Buffs now turn their attention to indoor track & field season as they participate in the Boo Rogers Combined Events and the Crimson & Gold Invitational hosted by Pittsburg State on December 6-7.
