Currie Marusak ended the weekend on a high note as the Amarillo product led all players with 15 kills as the #9 Lady Buffs swept past rival Lubbock Christian (25-17, 25-23, 26-24) in Lone Star Conference action at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.

The Lady Buffs registered 45 kills on 112 swings with 17 attack errors as they hit .250 as a team with 39 assists, five aces, 43 digs and 11 blocks. Lubbock Christian tallied 40 kills on 117 attempts with 20 attack errors to hit .171 as a team with 38 assists, three aces, 40 digs and two blocks.

Marusak finished the afternoon with a season-high 15 kills on 25 swings with just two errors for an attack percentage of .520 to go along with three digs and a block.
Taytum Stow had a big afternoon as the Hereford native registered 12 kills on 19 attempts with two errors to hit .526 with two digs and eight blocks.
Ainsley Malis paced the WT offense as she dished out 22 assists to go along with eight digs while
Bryli Contreras led the way in the back row with 11 digs.

The Lady Chaps were led offensively by Payton Murray who finished the afternoon with 14 kills on 34 swings with eight errors for an attack percentage of .176, Kayton Genenbacher guided the LCU offense as she led all players with 34 assists to go along with eight digs. Jade Workman also finished with double-dogit kills as she had 12 on 35 swings with six attack errors to hit .171 with four digs and a block.

- Saturday afternoon was the 44th all-time meeting on the court between the Lady Buffs and LCU, WT is 35-8-1 in the series that dates back to 1980, the Lady Chaps have dropped their last 10 matches at The Box
- West Texas A&M picked up a sweep over the Lady Chaps marking the fourth straight match that went the minimum of three sets for the Lady Buffs (Western New Mexico, UT Permian Basin, Angelo State)
