CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs started Thursday night's Lone Star Conference matchup with just four field goals in the first quarter as WT couldn't overcome a slow start in a 75-55 defeat at the hands of the Midwestern State Mustangs at D.L. Ligon Coliseum in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Hollie Stalder led the way for the Lady Buffs as the sophomore guard from Hooker, Oklahoma went 6-of-16 from the floor including a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line for a team-high 16 points to go along with five rebounds and two assists.
Karley Motschenbacher also finished in double-figures with 11 points followed by
Zoey McBroom with nine.

The Lady Buffs finished the night going 21-of-65 (32.3%) from the field including 7-of-27 (25.9%) from deep and 6-of-7 (85.7%) from the charity stripe to go along with 34 rebounds (eight offensive, 26 defensive), 11 assists, 14 turnovers, five blocks and six steals.

Midwestern State was led offensively by Kertisa Amos as the Burleson product went 9-of-18 from the floor for a game-high 19 points which was matched by teammate Makayla Coy who went 7-of-13 from the field to go along with 13 rebounds for a double-double. MSU went 30-of-66 (45.5%) from the field including 2-of-8 (25%) from deep and 13-of-17 (76.5%) from the line to go along with 50 rebounds, 14 assists, 11 turnovers, three blocks and 12 steals.

The Lady Buffs conclude their LSC road trip on Saturday afternoon as they head to Aggie Gym in Lawton, Oklahoma to take on the Cameron Aggies with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m.Â
