Nyalam Thabach reached the 1,000 career point plateau on Thursday night as the Lady Buffs ended their Lone Star Conference losing skid with a 69-62 victory over the Western New Mexico Mustangs at Drag's Court in Silver City, New Mexico.

The Boise, Idaho product went 4-of-14 from the floor including 1-of-2 from behind the arc and 10-of-11 from the free throw line to finish the night with a team-high 19 points to go along with eight boards and four assists.
Azia Himeur (12) and
Karley Motschenbacher (11) also finished the game in double-figures.

The Lady Buffs went 22-of-54 (40.7%) from the field including 3-of-8 (37.5%) from deep and 22-of-27 (81.5%) from the charity stripe with 29 rebounds (four offensive, 25 defensive), 12 assists, 14 turnovers, 11 steals and two blocks.

The Mustangs were led by Sydney Wright as she went 4-of-12 from the floor including 6-of-7 from the line for a team-high 16 points to go along with two rebounds and four assists. WNMU finished the night going 21-of-56 (37.5%) from the field including 8-of-19 (42.1%) from deep and 12-of-17 (70.6%) from the line to go along with 30 rebounds, 11 assists, 18 turnovers, three blocks and two steals.

The Lady Buffs close out their road trip on Saturday afternoon as they make their way to Portales, New Mexico to take on the Greyhounds of Eastern New Mexico with tipoff set for 2:00 p.m. CT at Greyhound Arena.
