CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M led by eight points after the first quarter before Angelo State found their rhythm offensively on the way to a 70-58 Lone Star Conference divisional victory over the Lady Buffs at the First United Bank Center in Canyon, Texas.

Hollie Stalder led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs as the sophomore guard went 7-of-13 from the floor including 1-of-1 from deep and 3-of-3 from the free throw line for a team-high 18 points to go along with three rebounds and a steal.
Kyla Kane chipped in nine points as the Wellington product also grabbed six boards.

The Lady Buffs finished the night going 20-of-62 (32.3%) from the field including 3-of-14 (21.4%) from behind the arc and 15-of-17 (88.2%) from the charity stripe with 46 rebounds (nine offensive, 37 defensive), six assists, 21 turnovers, three blocks and six steals.

Sawyer Lloyd led the way for the Belles as the senior from Wall, Texas went 10-of-21 from the floor including 3-of-5 from deep and 2-of-2 from the stripe for a game-high 25 points to go along with 11 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and five steals. ASU went 27-of-74 (36.5%) from the field including 7-of-23 (30.4%) from deep and 9-of-13 (69.2%) from the free throw line with 45 rebounds, 12 assists, 13 turnovers, five blocks and 13 steals.

The Lady Buffs close out their LSC homestand on Saturday afternoon as they welcome the Falcons of UT Permian Basin to the First United Bank Center with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m. in Canyon.
