THE BASICS
Game 50 Score: West Texas A&M 5, Cameron 3
Pitching: (W) Kyra Lair (16-1); (L) Robyn Bales (12-8)

Emilee Wilson retired the first two hitters of the game before the Aggies' Kaiden Boren doubled to right field. The double brought up Josie Swafford who promptly singled to short, scoring a run for Cameron. The Lady Buffs responded with a pair of runs of their own in the home half. Gabie McConnell led off the inning with a single before being erased on Ruby Salzman's fielder's choice. A strikeout put the Aggies in position to end the inning, but Diana Murtha lined a ball over the left-center wall to give WT a 2-1 lead.

The Lady Buff lead lasted until the top of the third when Cameron plated two runs on two hits. Khmari Edward's started the inning with a single before swiping second back. Edwards then moved up on Kylie French's sacrifice bunt and scored on Boren's triple. Boren came into score when Swafford lifted a sacrifice fly to right field, giving the Aggies a one-run advantage.

Cameron held WT scoreless until the bottom of the sixth inning when Madison Johnson connected with a solo home run to left-center field, tying the game up at three. In the top of the seventh, the Aggies threatened to take the lead, but Kyra Lair shut Cameron down to send the game to the bottom of the seventh.

After a one-out walk by Gabie McConnell, Salzman launched the 2-1 pitch onto the batting cages in left to end the ballgame.

THE BASICS
Game 51 Score: West Texas A&M 5, Cameron 1
Pitching: (W) Kyra Lair (17-1); (L) Jocelyn Bright (7-2)

Cameron used a similar formula to the first game, plating a run in the opening frame. A leadoff single followed by an error placed runners on first and second with no outs. A double steal by the Aggies moved the runners up where a sacrifice fly by Boren brought home the game's first run. On the sacrifice fly, the Lady Buffs caught French off the base, doubling up Cameron.

WT answered once again in the bottom of the first with two of its own. McConnell singled to lead off the game for the second consecutive time. It didn't take long for McConnell to score as Salzman tripled into the gap, tying the game at one. Salzman came in to score the go-ahead run when Boyer grounded to third. Cameron's throw to the plate went high as Salzman slid in safely and Boyer moved to second.

In the third inning, Kyra Lair moved herself up the WT strikeout leaderboard as she posted her 464th career strikeout in Maroon and White.

The 2-1 score line held up until the bottom of the fourth inning where WT tacked on another run to its lead. A Gabriella Valforte double and Julie Guzman single put the first runners on base for the Lady Buffs. Shyanne Sanchez lifted a sacrifice fly of her own to center, scoring Valforte from third.

In the sixth, WT put the game out of reach for the Aggie when the Lady Buffs plated two more runs. Johnson started the inning with a single to left before Valforte reached on an error by the Cameron left fielder. After an infield fly, Sanchez singled to center where a bobble by the fielder allowed her to reach second base and Johnson to score. On Rufus' groundout, pinch runner Ruby Moore crossed the plate to secure a 5-1 victory.
