CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M Buffaloes shot a 292 (+4) on Saturday afternoon to finish sixth at the Hot Dirt Desert Shootout at the Golf Club of Estrella (Par 72 – 7,068 Yards) in Goodyear, Arizona.
Kolton Baber continued his strong play on Saturday as the senior from Devol, Oklahona shot a one-under 71 during the final round highlighted by four birdies as he finished third on the individual leaderboard with a 211 (-5).
Garrett Leak and Mason Mikeska of Midwestern State finished tied atop of the individual leaderboard with a 210 (-6) as Leak won the medalist honors during the first playoff hole. UC Colorado Springs (854, -10) won the team crown by four-strokes over Midwestern State.
The Buffs remain in Arizona on Monday and Tuesday as they take part in the RJGA Palm Valley Classis hosted by Western New Mexico at Palm Valley Golf Club.
