CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M picked up their fourth consecutive victory on Sunday night as they outlasted LSC foe St. Mary's, 61-52 to conclude the Daytona Beach Shootout at the Ocean Center Arena in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Nyalam Thabach led the way for the Lady Buffs as the senior from Boise, Idaho went 7-of-18 from the floor including 4-of-5 from the charity stripe for a team-high 18 points to go along with nine rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Rosemary Odebunmi and
Karley Motschenbacher chipped in nine points each followed by Grave Alvarez with eight.

The Lady Buffs finished the night going 20-of-56 (35.7%) from the field including 2-of-15 (13.3%) from deep and 19-of-22 (86.4%) from the line to go along with 42 rebounds (10 offensive, 32 defensive), 14 assists, 18 turnovers, five blocks and nine steals.

Taylor Haggan led the way for the Rattlers as the freshman went 7-of-18 from the floor for a team-high 15 points to go along with eight boards, two assists, one block and one steal. The Rattlers finished the night going 18-of-61 (29.5%) from the field including 4-of-18 (22.2%) from behind the arc and 12-of-16 (75%) from the stripe with 37 rebounds, seven assists, 16 turnovers, three blocks and nine steals.

The Lady Buffs enter the Christmas break with an overall record of 8-4 as they return to action on December 30
th against the Aggies of Oklahoma Panhandle State in exhibition action with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m. at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.
