CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M senior post
Nyalam Thabach dominated all afternoon on Sunday as the Lady Buffs picked up a big 86-74 Lone Star Conference victory over the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.

The Boise, Idaho product finished the game going 12-of-20 from the floor including 3-of-3 at the charity stripe for a season-high 27 points to go along with 13 rebounds, one assist, four blocks and a steal.
Azia Himeur was hot from behind the arc as she went 5-of-7 from deep to contribute 17 points followed by
Jayla Burgess and
Kyla Kane with nine each.

The Lady Buffs finished the game going 33-of-60 (55%) from the field including 8-of-19 (42.1%) from behind the arc and 12-of-17 (70.6%) from the charity stripe with 34 total rebounds (nine offensive, 25 defensive), 20 assists, 16 turnovers, seven blocks and five steals in the win.

The Javelinas were led by Jayde Tschritter who went 5-of-8 from the floor including 3-of-5 from deep for a team-high 15 point to go along with four boards, one assist and two steals. TAMUK finished the afternoon going 27-of-56 (48.2%) from the field including 6-of-13 (46.2%) from deep and 14-of-19 (73.7%) from the stripe with 29 rebounds, 15 assists, 17 turnovers, no blocks and 10 steals.

The Lady Buffs conclude their LSC homestand on Tuesday morning as they host the Dustdevils of Texas A&M International with tipoff set for 11:00 a.m. in Canyon.
