CANYON, Texas- The No. 5 West Texas A&M Lady Buffs swept the UT Tyler Patriots (25-15, 25-17, 25-18) in the NCAA South Central Regionals to advance to the semifinals match set for Friday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. CT in Canyon, Texas in The Box. The Lady Buffs will face off against the Dallas Baptist in the semifinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lady Buffs kept the lead throughout the match only letting the Patriots get within one in the beginning of set one. In the first set, five Lady Buffs had two kills each within the first 15 points to hit a team percentage over .300.
The second and third set saw much of what the first set looked like. The back row defense by the Lady Buffs combined for a total of 58 digs in the three-set match with
Emma Patterson playing strong in both the middle and left back contributing with eight digs. The Lady Buffs hit a team total .392 with eight players contributing at least one kill on the board.
Ainsley Malis had a stint in the front row with a setter dump resulting in a point and both
Carly Evetts and
Brynne Wright had six kills and no errors. Wright hit her personal best percentage with .600. The Lady Buffs ran away with the match only letting the Patriots score 18 points as their highest.
BY THE NUMBERS
Torrey Miller had her third double-double in four matches and led the Lady Buffs in kills with 18 on 38 attempts with only one error to hit .447.
Ainsley Malis led with 20 assists while
Bryli Contreras led in digs with 18 and
Taytum Stow contributed with 5 blocks.

- WT moves to an overall 59-22 record in the NCAA post-season play
