CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M took a 10-point lead into the final quarter on Saturday afternoon before the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers scored 29 points in the final 10 minutes of play for a 81-78 regional victory at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.

Azia Himeur led the way for the Lady Buffs as the junior from Albuquerque went 5-of-9 from behind the arc and 6-of-6 from the free throw line for a season-high 21 points to go along with three rebounds followed by
Hollie Stalder with 20 points as the sophomore went 6-of-9 from the field with three rebounds and an assist.

The Lady Buffs finished the game going 25-of-51 (49%) from the floor including 9-of-23 (39.1%) from behind the arc and 19-of-26 (73.1%) from the free throw line to go along with 31 rebounds (10 offensive, 21 defensive), 10 assists, 21 turnovers, four blocks and four steals.

The Orediggers were led by Emma Sixta who went 6-of-10 from the field including 2-of-5 from deep for a team-high 16 points to go along with three rebounds, four assists and a steal. CSM went 28-of-63 (44.4%) from the field including 9-of-23 (39.1%) from deep and 16-of-18 (88.9%) from the line to go along with 34 rebounds, 18 assists, 15 turnovers four blocks and seven steals.

The Lady Buffs hit the road for South Central Regional action on Tuesday afternoon as they travel to Las Vegas, New Mexico to take on the New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls with tipoff set for 4:00 p.m. CT inside of the John A. Wilson Complex.
