CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M trailed by four heading into the locker room before outscoring the Hardrockers of South Dakota Mines by 12 points in the final quarter on their way to a 76-63 victory to close out the South Central Regional Challenge at Brownson Arena in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Hollie Stalder led the way for the Lady Buffs as the sophomore went 6-of-10 from the floor including 4-of-6 from the charity stripe for a team-high 17 points to go along with two rebounds and three assists.
Nyalam Thabach and
Karley Motschenbacher scored 12 points each followed by
Grace Alvarez with 11.

The Lady Buffs finished the game going 27-of-54 (50%) from the field including 5-of-13 (38.5%) from deep and 17-of-20 (85%) from the free throw line with 28 rebounds (six offensive, 22 defensive), 15 assists, seven turnovers, three blocks and five steals.

The Hardrockers were led by Naomi Hidalgo who went 5-of-10 from the floor and a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe for a team-high 14 points to go along with nine rebounds and two assists. South Dakota Mines finished the game going 24-of-50 (48%) from the floor including 5-of-14 (35.7%) from deep and 10-of-16 (62.5%) from the line to go along with 30 rebounds, 15 assists, 15 turnovers, two blocks and three steals.

The Lady Buffs open up their home schedule next Saturday as they welcome the Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines to the First United Bank Center with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m. in Canyon.Â
