CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M men's basketball head coach
Tom Brown announced the program's inaugural 3-Point Shootout fundraiser event. The fundraiser will take place on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. inside the First United Bank Center in Canyon.
The Shootout will feature 32 participants going head-to-head in bracket play to find out the best shooter in the Texas Panhandle. Among the participants in this year's event are Clint Brakebill from KAMR News Channel 4, Rylee Robinson from KFDA News Channel 10, Kendall Cogburn from West Plains High School, Sedrick Knowlton from WT athletics among others to be announced at a later date.
There are a few spots left in the Shootout. Anyone interested in joining the event is invited to email Coach Brown at tbrown@wtamu.edu.
The Buffs begin the 2023-24 season on Nov. 3 in Lubbock, Texas when they take on Illinois-Springfield at 2:30 p.m. in the Rip Griffin Center.
