No. 15 Lady Buffs Shutdown Rambelles in Three, Potts Earns 70th Win

CANYON, Texas – In front of over 1,300 fans, the No. 15 West Texas A&M Lady Buffs handed Angelo State their first Lone Star Conference loss of the season on Friday night as WT defeated the Rambelles in three straight sets.

The Numbers
WT hit .290 in the victory recording 40 kills on 103 swings with 10 errors while totaling 37 assists, 43 digs, seven blocks, and five aces.  The Lady Buffs limited Angelo State to hit just .076 with 31 kills on 118 attempts with 22 errors.  The Belles had 28 assists, 36 digs, four blocks and one ace on the night.
 
Torrey Miller had a match-high 11 kills on 21 attempts with no errors to hit a season-high .524 to go along with eight digs and four blocks.  Blair Moreland guided the offense on Friday with 20 assists while Emma Patterson led the back row with 16 digs. 
 
Hannah Kinnison had eight kills on 25 swings with just three errors to hit .200 while Kayla Baer led the offense with 14 assists.  Jaedyn Woolly grabbed a team-high nine digs in the loss while Kinnison and Grace White each had two blocks.   

The Milestones
  • Second straight sweep over the Rambelles to win season series 2-0, all-time series 61-28 
  • Fifth time in the season WT limited an opponent to hit under .100
  • Kendra Potts grabbed 70th career victory to move to 70-20 overall
