DENVER, Colo. – West Texas A&M shined on opening day of the Colorado Premier Challenge as the No. 12 Lady Buffs swept past No. 11 Central Missouri before coming back to defeat Regis to win the pool.

The Lady Buffs wasted no time in the first set as they hit .483 with 15 kills on 29 swings with just a single error while the defense limited the Jennies to hit .081.  WT totaled 48 kills on 110 attempts with nine errors in the match to go along with five service aces, 11 blocks, 46 assists and 56 digs.Â

Torrey Miller registered her first double-double of the season with a match-high 16 kills and 12 digs while
Ainsley Malis paced the offense with 21 assists with
Kayla Elliott posting two service aces.  On defense, freshman

After falling behind in the first set the Lady Buffs fought their way back to a 3-1 victory.  WT hit .268 in the afternoon with 55 kills on 138 attempts with 18 errors while totaling 54 digs, 47 assists, seven blocks and four service aces.  The Rangers recorded 50 kills with 26 errors on 142 attempts to hit .169 to go along with 58 digs, 46 assists, nine blocks and three service aces.Â
