CANYON, Texas – After falling behind in the first set, the No. 17 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M fought their way to a five set thrilling victory over the UT Tyler Patriots on Saturday afternoon. Saturday's victory ties the regular-season series between the two schools, 1-1, along with the all-time series, 3-3.

WT hit .187 as a team in the victory with 59 kills on 166 swings with 28 errors to go along with six service aces, 14 blocks, 53 assists and 56 digs. UTT had 61 on 155 attempts with 29 errors to hit .206 with one ace, three blocks, 59 assists, and 64 digs.
Torrey Miller posted a match-high 21 kills on 52 attempts with 10 errors to hit .404 to pair with 11 digs for the double-double followed by
Kayla Elliott with 10 kills.
Blair Moreland and
Ainsley Malis paced the Lady Buffs offense in the win, combining for 51 assists.
Emma Patterson led the back with 18 digs while
Taytum Stow recorded nine blocks with one solo.
Mikayla Ware hit .375 to lead the Patriots with 18 kills on 48 attempts with 12 errors followed by Evenlyn Torres with 17 kills whileAdeline Ortman guided the offense with a match-high 39 assists. Four Patriots reached double-figure digs while Dakota Rogers-Hurtado had five blocks on the afternoon.
