The Nighthawks benefited from a first-half score and held on for the remainder of the game. The Buffs move to 2-1-2 overall with the loss while Northwest Nazarene moves to 4-1-1
The first scoring chance of the game came in the eighth minute in favor of Northwest Nazarene. The Nighthawks' Lukas Juodkunaitis sent a shot toward WT goalkeeper
Alfonso Aragon, but Aragon punched away the shot. On the rebound, Northwest Nazarene sent a cross into the box, but the Buffs' defense held strong. WT's first shot on goal came in the 13

Anthony Perea watched his shot go into the arms of Northwest Nazarene goalkeeper Sawyer Price. With 12 minutes remaining before halftime, the Nighthawks registered the game's first goal. Sullivan Smith chipped in a shot over Aragon as the Buffs' goalie came off his line. The Buffs attempted to tie the game up before half but came up short.
The second half didn't feature as many scoring chances for either team. WT attempted a comeback in the closing minutes of the game but couldn't fight past the Northwest Nazarene defense. The Buffs registered four shots in the half, none finding the frame, compared to the Nighthawks' two.
WT returns home for a top-15 matchup against No. 6 Midwestern State on Wednesday. The Buffs and Mustangs renew the rivalry at 7 p.m. at The Pitch.
