CANYON, Texas – The #3 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M ran their win streak to eight games and remained unbeaten in Lone Star Conference action on Saturday afternoon as they outlasted the Lady Eagles of Oklahoma Christian, 66-51 at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.

Karley Motschenbacher has now reached double-figures in a dozen straight contests as the sophomore guard went 6-of-11 from the floor including 1-of-3 from behind the arc and 2-of-3 from the free throw line for a team-high 15 points to go along with five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Azia Himeur also finished in double-figures as the sophomore went 4-of-6 from the floor and 3-of-5 from deep for 11 points.

The Lady Buffs finished the afternoon going 24-of-51 (47.1%) from the field including 9-of-20 (45%) from deep and 9-of-16 (56.3%) from the charity stripe to go along with 35 rebounds (five offensive, 30 defensive), 13 assists, 19 turnovers, seven blocks and six steals.

Brooklin Bain led the way for the Lady Eagles as the junior from Comanche, Oklahoma went 6-of-13 from the field including 5-of-7 from the free throw line for a game-high 17 points to go along with 10 rebounds, one assist and two steals. OC went 16-of-52 (30.8%) from the floor including 2-of-12 (16.7%) from behind the arc and 17-of-25 (68%) from the free throw line with 34 rebounds (eight offensive, 26 defensive), four assists, 16 turnovers, no blocks and six steals.

The Lady Buffs head to South Texas next weekend for LSC action starting on Thursday night as they take on the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m. at the Steinke Center.
