No. 11 Lady Buffs Make It 14 Straight with Sweep Over Cameron

CANYON, Texas – The No. 11 Lady Buffs of West Texas stay undefeated in Lone Star Conference play as they swept past the Cameron Aggies for Dig Pink Night on Wednesday while head coach Kendra Potts grabbed her 50th league victory.

The Numbers
The Lady Buffs had 44 kills on 117 attempts with 22 errors to hit .188 as a team to go along with 40 assists, 61 digs, 10 service aces and seven blocks. Cameron hit .113 in the matchup with 27 kills on 106 swings with 15 errors while the Aggies had 43 digs, 26 assist, a match-high eight blocks and three aces. 
 
Junior Torrey Miller led WT with 11 kills on 19 attempts with four errors to hit .368 followed by Samantha Jordan with seven kills and Taytum Stow at six. Blair Moreland and Ainsley Malis combined for 34 assists to pace the offense while Malis also collected 10 digs for the double-double. Bryli Contreras had 16 digs while Katrina Johnson and Angelina Oliver led with three blocks each. 
 
For the Aggies, sister duo Arianna and Anjolie Navarrete each had nine kills while Arianna had a team-high 15 digs.  Alice Tuci led with 15 assists with Natalia Arajo had a match-high six blocks.

  • WT is off to a 13-0 LSC start for the first time since 2014

  • WT's 10 aces is the second time this season reaching double figures
