CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M men's soccer made history on Wednesday night as the #3 Buffaloes pushed to the program's best season start at 7-0-0 after defeating Oklahoma Christian in a 2-1 overtime thriller.
Sean Ryan recorded the game-winning goal in the 92
nd-minute to secure the Buffs seventh consecutive victory.
Despite the Buffs 8-3 shot advantage in the first half, it was the Eagles who struck first after Joep Claassen netted his first score of the season in the 6
th-minute.
After 74-scoreless minutes, WT jumped on the board as they leveled the field with
Stefan Andjelic's fourth goal of the season. The senior buried a well-placed pass from
Rotem Weiss in the back of the net to make it 1-1.
WT's best chance to take the lead in regulation came in the 85
th-minute with a shot by
Keaton Hartman but was denied by Eagle's keeper Anthony Trabichet.

Sean Ryan in the front of the net as the defender tapped his second career score past the keeper for the deciding goal.
The Buffs had 23 shots with 11 landing on frame while limiting Oklahoma Christian to just five shots with three on goal. Hartman led the team with five shots followed by four with each recording three on goal.
Tom Miles recorded 91:30 minutes between the post for the Buffs with two saves to move to 6-0-0.
WT sets out to San Antonio on Saturday, Oct. 2 for a nonconference match against St. Mary's at Sigma Beta Chi Field set for 7 p.m.
