KEARNEY, Neb. – West Texas A&M volleyball recorded their first loss of the season after falling to No. 3 Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday to conclude preseason play. The Lopers defeated the Lady Buffs in three straight sets with scores of 25-24, 25-20, 25-18.
The Lady Buffs recorded 38 kills as a team led by
Torrey Miller's double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs while
Blair Moreland led the offense with 18 assists. On defense,
Chandler Vogel picked up 17 digs while WT totaled 10 blocks led by
Kayla Elliott with three.
WT opens Lone Star Conference action on September 17 as they set out to Tyler for a matchup with the No. 23 Patriots of UT Tyler. Match time is set for 6 p.m. at the Herrington Patriot Center.
