CANYON Texas – The #5 Buffaloes of West Texas A&M ended their season in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Finals on Saturday night as they fell to the #10 Angelo State Rams at Foster Field in San Angelo, Texas.

The Rams got on the board in the top of the first inning as Nick Seginowich singled to right to score Jackson Hardy. ASU added to their lead in the second on a Hardy RBI groundout to second base that plated Koby Kelton for the 2-0 advantage.

The Buffs responded in the home half of the second inning as
Kyle Moos lifted a two-run homerun into the home bullpen beyond the left field wall to make it 2-2. ASU would retake the lead in the third as Jordan Williams grounded out to second to score Seginowich.

WT took their first and only lead of the game in the bottom of the third as
Kennedy Badgett doubled to the gap in left center to score
Jonah Gonzales and
Cade Engle for the 4-3 lead. The Rams would score 14 unanswered runs over the next two frames to break the game open for the 18-4 victory.

Carter Brown picked up the loss (1-1) for the Buffs, allowing one earned run on one hit with two walks in his 0.0+ innings of work.
